About Us

Phillips & Associates is an emerging, boutique law firm established in June 2022. The firm’s current focus is on a range of civil litigation, including contractual disputes, divorce and family law disputes and debt collections. We have recently incorporated a conveyancing department and intend on expanding this area over the next few years. Being based in Cowies Hill, Durban, the firm is able to manage matters in Pinetown, Hillcrest, Durban Central and Umhlanga.

Meet Paige Phillips

Our firm was founded by Paige Phillips as a sole practitioner. Paige completed her Bachelor of Commerce and LLB at Stellenbosch University after which she completed her articles at a boutique law firm in Durban. Through her work there, Paige gained valuable experience in civil litigation, commercial disputes, contract and family law. She is also a qualified conveyancer.

Our aim is to build a diverse, motivated and dynamic team of professionals who are able to provide a hands-on approach to a variety of legal services.

  • The firm offers litigation services in the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeals, High Courts and Magistrates Courts. In doing so it covers areas involving commercial recoveries, property (including Sectional Title and rental) disputes, Companies Act litigation, contractual disputes, restraint of trade matters, undertaking liquidations and sequestrations, commercial agreements as well as Curator Applications.

  • Whether you are buying, selling, leasing or managing properties, we are able to assist you with all of your property related queries and issues. This includes property transfers, general compliance, property related disputes as well as the enforcement and resolution thereof, sectional title schemes and their management rights.

  • We provide a variety of Family Law advice and legal assistance, from drafting Antenuptial agreements and Wills to Family Litigation services (both in court and via mediation) including both opposed and unopposed divorce matters, proceedings related to care and contact of children, settlement agreements, maintenance proceedings and parenting plans arising from divorce.

  • The firm assists attorneys and other law firms from out of town in the execution of their instructions within the jurisdiction of the Durban and Pinetown Courts, as if the instructing attorney had attended to those instructions themselves.

  • If not dealt with timeously, bad debts can spiral out of control very quickly. Our firm believes that the best way to avoid this is to be consistent and time-efficient.

  • Our firm, through appropriate forms and procedures, are able to take the necessary steps to eliminate economic contradictions and conflicts, thereby protecting your legitimate rights and interests.
